12.04. Nervous Twitch [GBR] + Pete Bentham & The Dinner Ladies [GBR]

Nervous Twitch

“Paying homage to the Ramones and their favourite 60s girl-groups via the medium of punky pop songs. And, make no mistake, that’s a perfectly fine thing to be. There’s actually a bit more to the Twitch than that might suggest, though – that extra bit of proficiency and imagination a band needs to make them stand out.”

Pete Bentham and the Dinner Ladies

Kitchen Core from Liverpool

Pete Bentham & The Dinner Ladies are a four piece from Liverpool. Pete on Guitar, Tamara Sauce on Bass, Mufti Day on Saxophone and Tony Calzone on Drums. They are at the vanguard of current Liverpool music scene.

The band was formed in 2006. Pete wanted to form a band that was a pure rock & roll band with modern lyrics about real life. They have clever, witty songs about working class life that feature Night Club Bouncers, Lorry Drivers, Cats & Dogs, always telling the truth and they speak out against things they oppose like consumerism and racism.

The music is raw punk rock and roll reminiscent of the The Cramps, The Fall and The Velvet Underground.

They have so far released three albums, toured the UK and Europe and have played many festivals including Rebellion Punk Music Festival, the largest punk festival in the world alongside bands such as The Damned,The Beat and the New York Dolls.

A band who actually sing about things they know and believe in and always with sense of humour. This is Kitchencore!

23.11. Punkkneipe spezial mit Jenny Don’t And The Spurs + MT Bags

Jenny Don’t And The Spurs (Portland, US)
Lonely Desert Western Style Acoustics

…anschliessend Cow-Punk Party bis ultimo, is kla nech, also Pferde gesattelt und hin da..

Hurra!

Geliebte Menschen!
Prost! :-)

Konzi mit Fake Off aus Frankreich

This 5 piece-outfit hailing from France drifts in the shallow seas of contemporary post-something-”to be cool” tunes. Musical influences come from bands such as Touche AmoreShai HuludSaints Never Surrender,Nine Eleven… After 1 EP, and their first full lenght in 2014, the band is currently working on some exciting release for late spring 2016. Sadness-oriented, deftly underlaying landscapes and geography metaphors, their music is about self-construction and what a man calls a life, framing all the uncompromising choices of modern society and their struggles. These gents deliver their passion, unfolding powerful and poignant music through their emotional and physical engagement. One of the most incredible thing touring over the past 5 years gave them, is the opportunity of meeting generous and genuine people across Europe. Let them meet some new ones.
